Do you require a minimum stay?

A minimum stay of two nights is required on weekends during high season (July–August) and during special events. Please contact our Reservations Department for additional details.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is available from 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Early check-in may be available upon arrival and is subject to availability. Check-out time is 12:00 p.m.


Is late check-out available?

Late check-out may be requested at the Front Desk and is subject to availability. Late check-outs beginning at 12:00 p.m. are subject to an additional fee equal to 50% of the room rate.


What is the reservation policy?

To confirm your reservation, a deposit equal to one night's stay is required. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. The remaining balance is due at check-in.

At check-in, the cardholder must be present and provide the same card used for the deposit, along with a valid photo ID.


How can I make changes to my reservation?

To change your travel dates or room type, please contact our Reservations Department. All changes are subject to availability and may result in a rate adjustment.

Can I change the guest's name on my reservation?

Name changes are not permitted once a reservation has been confirmed. For further assistance, please contact our Reservations Department.

What happens if I do not arrive for my reservation?

If you do not arrive on your scheduled check-in date, your reservation will be considered a “no-show.” The reservation will be canceled, and no refund will be issued.


What is the cancellation policy?

• Cancellations made at least 4 days before the arrival date are eligible for a full refund of the deposit, with no cancellation fee.
• Cancellations made 3 to 1 day before the arrival date will result in the forfeiture of 75% of the deposit.
• Cancellations made on the arrival date are non-refundable.
• If a guest does not arrive on the scheduled check-in date, the reservation will be considered a “no-show.” The reservation will be canceled, and no refund will be issued.
• Non-refundable rate: Reservations made within 4 days of the arrival date are non-refundable.
• If a reservation is modified, the original arrival date will continue to apply for purposes of the cancellation policy.
• Payments made as a reservation guarantee for stays during special-event dates, including Baja Beach Fest, are non-refundable.

Can I bring my own food and drinks to the hotel?

Guests may bring outside food and beverages into their hotel rooms. However, outside food, beverages, and ice chests are not permitted for personal consumption in the hotel's common areas, including the pools, pier, and gardens.


What is the parking fee?

Parking is reserved exclusively for hotel guests, customers, and attendees of events held on the property.

Guests visiting our restaurants, coffee shops, or Spa may have their parking ticket validated with a purchase for a limited period. After the validated period, a fee of $35 pesos per hour or fraction thereof will apply.

For overnight hotel guests, parking is $68.00 pesos per night, per vehicle, and must be paid at the Front Desk during registration.


Do you have secure parking?

Yes. Our parking area has a controlled-access booth, and security guards are on duty throughout the property, including the parking lot, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.


Do you have EV charging stations?

Yes. Electric vehicle charging stations are available in our parking lot. Overnight hotel guests may charge their electric vehicles as a complimentary service.

If you are not a registered hotel guest, the cost of the charging service is $20 USD for 4 hours, plus the parking fee.


Do you have a Spa? 

Casa Playa Spa is a place with a lot of history and beautiful corners that you should explore the next time you visit us. You will fall in love with this mansion equipped as a spa, its tiles and staircase will make you travel back in time to the '30s. For sure you’ll enjoy a place away from the hustle and bustle of the city, focused on your relaxation and to disconnect from the stress.

Are there restaurants at the hotel?

Yes. Rosarito Beach Hotel & Spa features two restaurants: Azteca Restaurant-Bar, located just off the resort lobby, and the Chabert's, located in what was once the mansion of the resort's founding family.

Azteca Restaurant-Bar is open from 7:00 a.m. a 10:00 p.m and also offers takeout and room service.

Chabert's features an exceptional and eclectic selection of Nouvelle Baja Mediterranean cuisine and French classics, served in an elegant Old World atmosphere. Chabert's is open Friday through Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and is also available for private events.


Do you offer Sunday Brunch?

Yes. Sunday Brunch is available every Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.. Guests can enjoy a delicious selection that includes handmade eggs and made-to-order omelets, red and green chilaquiles, quesadillas and freshly made tortillas, carved roast beef, lamb barbacoa, carnitas, BBQ ribs, chicken in mole sauce, menudo, pancakes, waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, and a selection of desserts. You’ll also find traditional dishes such as pork rinds in green salsa, ranch-style steak, nopales, and beef tongue in green salsa.

Beverages included: coffee, milk, orange juice, green juice, and aguas frescas.

Are pets allowed at the hotel?

Pets are not permitted at the hotel. If you require accommodations for a service dog, prior authorization from hotel management is required. If approved, a deep-cleaning fee must be paid when the service dog is reported at check-in.


How do I get a Fast Pass?

We offer the fast pass to our overnight guests only, please request it at the Front Desk. 

The border fast pass program, officially called FastLane, which is a single-use pass that gives you access to a special lane designated for tourists. This lane will significantly reduce your wait time to get back into the U.S. The goal of the fast pass program is to give our tourists a way to return to their country fast, easy and safe.  FastPass system is managed by an off-site third-party, Rosarito Beach Hotel cannot guarantee FastPass availability at a given time.

This program is coordinated by the City Hall of Tijuana with the following rules:

- Only OneFastPass per room per stay.
- Your vehicle MUST have a USA or Canadian License Plate (Motorcycles & vehicles with trailers or no License plates on the vehicle --are NOT eligible).
- Only the SAN YSIDRO border crossing has a Fast Pass Lane (Otay Border crossing does NOT have a Fast Pass Lane).
- Subject to availability
- A recovery fee will be charged.



How do the current border-crossing access routes work?

To assist guests with current border-crossing logistics, below is an overview of the updated access points for SENTRI, Ready Lane, and All Traffic. These guidelines reflect the most recent route changes implemented by authorities.

Sentri Lane

New SENTRI lane via Calle Segunda, operating daily from 4:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Calle Segunda is now exclusive for SENTRI users.

SENTRI access at Padre Kino remains available with normal operations.

Ready Lane

Ready Lane access continues exclusively through Vía Rápida.

All Traffic (General Lanes)

General crossing lanes only through Paseo de los Héroes.



Do I need a passport to go to Rosarito?

A passport is required to cross back into the US, but a Passport Card is a cheaper option and is also valid for border crossing by land. For additional passport requirements and information, please visit travel.state.gov


Is smoking allowed at the hotel?

Smoking is permitted only in designated smoking areas. In accordance with the Ley Contra el Tabaco en los Establecimientos Públicos (Law Against Tobacco in Public Establishments), the use of tobacco products—including electronic cigarettes, vapes, and related substances—is strictly prohibited in the following areas:

• Hotel rooms and condo suites, including exterior balconies
• Pool and Jacuzzi areas
• Restaurants, taco shops, coffee shops and pier
• Parking lot
• Hallways and terraces, except in designated smoking areas
• Gardens, except in designated smoking areas


Can I reserve a specific room number?

Confirmed reservations guarantee a specific room type, but not a specific room number. If your preferred room is available at the time of arrival, our team will do its best to accommodate your request.


Is the hotel near the nightclub district?

Yes. Rosarito Beach Hotel is just a few steps from Papas & Beer Rosarito and other popular nightclubs in the area.


Do you offer wheelchair-accessible suites?

Yes. Wheelchair-accessible suites may be requested when making your reservation. We recommend booking in advance, as availability is limited and subject to confirmation.


How far is Rosarito from San Diego?

Rosarito and Rosarito Beach Hotel are approximately 40 minutes from San Diego under normal traffic conditions. The drive offers convenient highway access, including a toll road that accepts both U.S. dollars and Mexican pesos.

Travel time may vary depending on traffic and border conditions.


What are the laws regarding alcoholic beverages in Mexico?

The legal drinking age in Mexico is 18 years old. Most bars and nightclubs require proof of age, such as a valid driver's license or passport.

Drinking alcohol on public streets is prohibited by local regulations and may result in fines. Driving under the influence of alcohol is also against the law and may lead to arrest, substantial fines, and other legal penalties. Please drink responsibly and always use a designated driver or authorized transportation service.


Which credit cards does Rosarito Beach Hotel accept?

Rosarito Beach Hotel accepts Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.


Can I surf at the beach in front of the hotel?

Yes. Rosarito offers waves for surfers of different experience levels, from beginners to experts. During the summer, sandbars generally form on the right side of the pier located in front of Rosarito Beach Hotel, creating waves that break to the left. During the winter season, the conditions may reverse, with waves breaking in the opposite direction.

These shifting sandbars make the area an exciting surfing destination. The beach in front of the hotel is considered one of the region's notable surf breaks and has hosted national and international competitions.
