Read This Before attempting to print pages from this site.
Problem - If the web page is printing off the side of your page:
This is because, by default, the print margins for the page may be set too
wide. In Internet Explorer, margins are typcially set at 0.75 inches,
in Firefox 0.5 inches. Go to the top menu line on your browser and
select 'File', 'Page Setup'. From there you can set the left, right,
top and
bottom margins which control the amount of white space around the
page when it prints.
Set this to about 0.3 inches all round for best results. Select print preview
to see if the right side of the page is still slipped short before
printing. If it is make the margin 0.2 or 0.1 inches.
Problem - If the page is printing the background colors or printing white text on a white background
Unfortunately, by default, most browsers will attempt
to print these pages with all colors intact - NOT a good idea if
you want to conserve color ink. Some may suppress background colors only
leaving white text
on a white background.
Each browser and each operating system has a different level of support for printing, so results will vary depending on many factors.
The sections below show you how to set common browsers for printing
.. Select your system below for directions.
NOTE: The information in these help pages assumes you are running recent versions of your web browser and operating system. Older versions may not have the same features, and thus may behave differently.
 Windows & Netscape
The default settings attempt to reproduce all the colors in the page, including any white text.
Background color or picture is ignored. As a result, white text will appear
invisible on the printout.
To solve this problem, simply turn on the Black Text option in the Page Setup dialog box (in the File menu), as shown on the right...
You can also deactivate the printing of full color backgrounds from the
same dialog box.
Finally, note that the Windows version of Netscape has a Print Preview facility which you can use to check things before printing.

we don't want.
To exclude backgrounds in your printouts, turn off the Print Backgrounds option
in the Advanced tab of the Internet Options (in the Tools menu),
as shown below...
FRom your browser, select Tools > then Options > then scroll down to find
Printing and uncheck the box circled in the image below.

 MacOS 9 & Netscape
The default settings attempt to reproduce all the colors in the page, including any white text. However any background color or picture is ignored. As a result, white text will appear invisible on the printout.
To solve this problem, you must set your printer driver into black & white mode, in which case the text should appear black.
For the common case of a PostScript printer driven by the LaserWriter driver, simply set the Color Matching option in the Print dialog box to Black and White, as shown below...

If you wish to exclude backgrounds in your printouts, simply turn off the Print
Backgrounds option in the Page Setup dialog box, as shown below.
Note that some versions of Netscape will print background pictures
but not simple background colors.

 MacOS 9 & Internet Explorer

background colors and pictures.
To avoid this, you must set your printer driver into black & white mode,
in which case Explorer will skip printing the background and will reduce
all of the text to black.
For the common case of a PostScript printer driven by the LaserWriter driver, simply set the Color Matching option in the Print dialog box to Black and White, as shown below...

UNIX & Netscape
All of the UNIX versions of Netscape print text as black by default, so you should not have any problems in that regard.
Unfortunately, it is not possible for the UNIX versions of Netscape to print backgrounds.
